Diabetes SymptomsDiagnosing diabetes symptoms can be difficult in identifying at first, as manifestation of the disease is gradual. Sometimes, because symptoms can also be common to other illnesses, the real illness may be overlooked. Diabetes symptoms may vary, the list may go on and on but not everybody (diabetes patients) has them. There are even some cases that no symptoms may show on some patients.

Diabetes occurs when the body’s ability to react to insulin gets affected. The insulin is your body hormone that allows your blood sugar (glucose) to enter body cells. When too much glucose enters the blood, this leads to the elevated amount of blood glucose, which it can cause glucose spillage towards the urine. This is the primary reason why one of the most classic diabetes symptoms, frequent urination, plagues the patient. Diabetes Symptoms » » »

Diabetes TreatmentDiabetes is in fact a condition in which the human body is not effectively able to use insulin to process the glucose in the blood. This so often leads to a build up of the glucose or sugar levels in the blood and by leading to Diabetes. Because of this fact the human body fails to convert food into that energy leading to a number of serious problems those such as heart disease, stroke, and loss of vision, blood clotting and others.

Diabetes is actually a disease that is sadly quite common by according to an estimate, 17 million people in the US alone has disease of Diabetes. But fortunately many home remedies for Diabetes are here available in market. Though with these remedies it is almost impossible to cure the disease with cure altogether, but sugar levels in the blood can still be better controlled to a great extent.

Plantar Warts and Diabetes

Planter warts occur on the sole of the foot by due to an infection of the HPV or the Human Papilloma virus. It has been also seen that those with Diabetes are more likely to develop problem of plantar warts. A weakened immune system that then caused by Diabetes reportedly enables the HPV virus to attack the human body. When someone has Diabetes then the sores will heal slowly, and this means that it will take longer to cure plantar warts.

Food and Diabetes Home Remedies

Diet is very important for all Diabetes patients. No matter what medicines you take but if your diet is not supporting them, your sugar levels can really never be controlled. Diet forms a major part of Diabetes home remedies here. Those who have Type 1 Diabetes therefore should have a diet with approximately 35 calories per kg of body weight daily. This is although equivalent to 16 calories per pound per day. And those who suffer from this Type 2 Diabetes need a 1500-1800 calorie diet daily.

However these figures are only just an indication – the actual calories will so vary based on age, sex, activity level, current weight and body style. Those who are obese will certainly need more calories. Carbohydrates should make up about 50 percent of the daily calories and because lower carbohydrates mean lower sugar levels. Bitter gourd popularly known as Karela is really an effective home remedy for Diabetes. Though it tastes awful but one tablespoon of Karela juice daily greatly reduces blood sugar levels to a great extent. A tablespoon of Amla juice is also more extremely effective. Taken daily for two months and the juice secretes the pancreas and makes it secrete insulin.

Food Intolerance And Diabetes Treatment

October 7th, 2009 Roger Comments off

Diabetes TreatmentDiabetes is one of the biggest scourges of this century. Along with cardiac problems and high cholesterol levels, this condition has pushed entire generations of people into a high risk zone, where they are literally living on the edge everyday.

One of the most puzzling things about diabetes is the fact that there is still a lot of confusion about what causes it. Of course, heredity, food habits and lifestyle factors play an important role. But, there are still gaps in our understanding.

According to studies conducted recently, carbohydrate intolerance could be one of the factors that cause diabetes. It certainly contributes to obesity so by natural progression, it must also contribute to diabetes. The ACCP (American College of Chest Physicians) published a new study in their journal that shows how in some people, the inability to absorb and break down carbohydrates leads to the build up of fat. Such people become obese when they are unable to digest or process carbohydrates. When this intolerance is not diagnosed, it leads to metabolic disorders in the long run. Researchers also made another interesting discovery: carbohydrate intolerance leads to metabolic syndrome, which is nothing but a collective name for medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and hypertension.

Proper carbohydrate intake is an important part of type2 diabetes treatment. This is because people who suffer from carbohydrate intolerance cannot tolerate any of the simple sugars that their food provides. In such people, there is a lack of digestive enzymes. This makes it impossible to digest and absorb carbohydrates. Since the body is not getting its fair share of carbs, it goes into a starvation mode. It stores more fat. At the same time, it stimulates hunger, thereby encouraging the person to eat more. This is the reason why untreated food intolerance directly leads to diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

It is not just type2 diabetes, even type1 diabetes may be caused by the body’s adverse reaction to food. Evidence has been collected to show how the condition shows great genetic similarity to celiac disease which is caused by gluten intolerance.

As sufferers know, there is no cure for diabetes. The most vital part of diabetes treatment is the proper management of blood sugar levels. Patients are advised to eat food in moderation, exercise and follow a healthy lifestyle so that their blood sugar levels remain stable. Food items that are rich in fiber while lean on carbs is the recommended diet since these items release sugar at a steady pace, unlike simple carbohydrates which inundate the bloodstream with high doses of sugar. Even in spite of following these regulations, carbohydrate intolerance can lead to associated problems. Therefore, such people may need to take in enzymes that help break down carbohydrates.

According to surveys and reports, more than 72% of all Americans suffer from one or another kind of food intolerance. Unfortunately, most of us are not aware of food sensitivities because the symptoms are quite subtle. The only way you can spot food sensitivity is through blood tests that confirm the same. Considering the needless suffering that people with food sensitivities undergo day after day and year after year, a simple blood test seems like a more attractive alternative.

Food Intolerance – For over 20 years, the ALCAT Test has provided both patients as well as healthcare professionals with a tool to successfully overcome a wide variety of conditions which result from food sensitivity and chemical intolerance.

Diabetes Treatment

If you have Type 2 diabetes, then you will find it difficult to keep your blood sugar at the right level when you are under stress. If you do not manage your stress, you will find your condition worsening.

This combination of stress and diabetes can even lead to other health problems like kidney disease, blindness, limb amputation, and cardiovascular problems. Your diabetes treatment can only be effective if you learn how to control your stress levels at the same time. Diabetes Treatment – Relaxation Therapy » » »
